Remind me how long I've been here.

Karin, you have been here just over a month. Yes, I can answer the title now, but there have been a few instances this last week that have shown me that I couldn't really tell you how long I've been here. Here they are...

Instance number 1: I was walking home from work along main street, enjoying the sun and anticipating a relaxing evening at home when I peered over to my left to a car waiting at a red light and suddenly she waved at me. I thought to myself, 'Do I know that girl? Maybe, oh well, what the heck?' And then I waved back. She then turned to her friend and laughed, I looked behind me and there was another person who the girl in the car was most likely waving at. Classic. Don't you HATE that? I kept walking trying not to feel too embarrased and then told myself, 'Karin, you have definately not been here long enough to have people waving at you as they drive down the streets.' Okay, lesson learned.

Instance number 2: I was working at the Bakery, making a sandwich when a girl behind the counter said, "Excuse me, do you know where a produce store is around here?" I said, "Uh...I don't know, one sec." I was about to ask someone I work with as the girl laughed. I popped in a, "I just moved here so..." And she said, "Oh ok." The other employee then said to the girl, "There is Save-on Foods just in Cherry Lane mall." The girl said thank you and went on her way. Save-on Foods eh? In Cherry Lane Mall eh? This just happens to be the grocery store that I shop at all the time! I went on making the sandwich and said to myself, "Karin, you have definately been here long enough to know where you can buy produce! My goodness!" Okay, lesson learned.

I really can't get it straight I guess.
